About Sappho Community Centre

We are a team of people setting up a community centre for women and gender diverse people.

The Sappho Community Centre’s mission is to

  • celebrate the history of women and Sapphic communities in Eressos
  • encourage learning and cultural exchange between locals and visitors
  • address issues facing women and the gender diverse community
  • support refugees who seek to set up their home in Eressos
  • protect the region's unique biodiversity
  • keep Eressos accessible for local people
  • spread joy and community belonging
